Way Back When-sday

Look for other Way Back When-sday's at Cheryl's blog at Twinfatuation!

This Way Back When-sday I will show you all pictures from one of my baby showers last year! My bestest friend Julie threw me this shower and I thank her bunches for it!

Here I am sitting on Julie's couch.
Here is my cake with three little duckies on it and some very pretty gift baskets that my mom made!

And here I am playing the game where they have to guess how big my belly is. And let me tell you, this game is not at all flattering when you have three babies in your belly. Everyone assumes that you are humongous and makes you feel very fat!

Well crap...

I was really hoping that Ayva's EEG today would be better than last time (even though I can see her having seizures all day and shouldn't have gotten my hopes up)- but some part of me was still clinging on to a shred of hope that she would be "all better". But no- she is not all better. She is still having seizures all day long (and sometimes at night). Dr. A has increased her dosage of meds and I am to call him in 10 days to tell him if things are better. She is such a trooper. Usually putting 26 little buttons on her head at 730 in the morning after a very sleep deprived night (they make me keep her up till midnight and wake her up at 4 am!), usually it makes her very crabby- but this morning she was in a good mood. No crying in the car (she hates her carseat), no crying while we watied in the waiting room to be seen- she actually smiled and giggled a little while I played with her and laid so nicely while all the buttons were being put on her head. She went to sleep fabulously after that and barely cried when they took all the buttons off. Then for her appointment with Dr. A after her EEG she slept in my arms- with her mouth open! She is so brave and I am so proud that I have such a wonderful baby- I'm glad I have such wonderful children! Anyway, her EEG was not better and I am still feeling a bit depressed about it. If only we knew the signs of I.S. she might have been diagnosed earlier and it would have not been so hard to control. Dr. A gave me this analogy to understand it better (he always gives me analogies and it really helps me understand) he said it was if we are trying to put out a fire. Well if you act quickly and the fire is only in the trash can, then it is easier to put out. But if you wait, and the fire spreads through the whole room, then it is harder and can take longer to put out. We are trying to put a fire out that has spread and it really sucks. That's all I can say about it. It sucks. Her siezures are so......so... It's like a very exaggerated startle reflex. That's why I thought for so long that she was just being startled. I would say, "Oh, I scared her" or that she was having that reflex when you are starting to fall asleep and get startled. Well that was obviously not the case. I just wish things were different. I wish I could go back in time and change things. I would change a lot of things- as I'm sure a lot of you would. I would make them take the babies out three days earlier than they did. I had another bleeding episode and after all that had happened before that day, I should have demanded they take them out. I should have trusted my gut and told them that it was safer to be out than in there with deprived oxygen. But I didn't- and I blame myself sometimes for it. Those 3 days could have made all the difference for the girls. It could have changed everything for them. But I thought the Dr.' s knew best and I let them tell me the bleeding was ok and it was not a placental abruption. They were wrong. I was wrong to not go with me gut feeling. Now they are having to pay the consequences- not me. Not the Dr.'s. Life isn't fair. It isn't fair that they have to deal with all that comes from one decision. Those three days could have made all the difference for them- but we will never know. If I had known poor Ayva was having seizures, that could have made a difference for her also. It's just not fair....

11 Months already!

I cannot believe that my tiny little babies are 11 months old! Actually, they were 11 months old yesterday and I would have posted then but- The kiddos have their first cold! I think that is actually good that in the first 11 months of them being alive, they didn't get sick once! Yesterday Justin woke up and sounded like he was losing his voice, so I made him a Dr. appointment- but they could only get me an appointment for 230 and it was already 145. So I decided to take all three babies by myself to the Dr. I was a little nervous about it at first, but everything ended up just fine! Ayva slept (thank goodness!) and Anna just sat and people watched. Well the Dr. said Justin has croup. DANG! And she said it was contagious-GREAT! She gave him some medicine and she also looked at his rash and told me he has ecezema- which is what I thought it was. She gave me some medicine for that also. So last night was pretty crappy- everyone doesn't feel good and kept waking me up. They each took turns. Here is a pic of them this morning all lounging around together...

And here is their 11 month pic...

I also say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ashley! She is the BIG 2-1!!! Happy Birthday girl! We love you!

I recently started making things with my sewing machiene and last weekend my mom and I made tutus! Here are the ones that we made...
I can't wait for the girls to feel better so I can take their picture in them!

ONE month until the kiddos' birthday! Here is the invitatation that I made. I was going to wait to post it, but I am procrastinating on sending them (I need stamps and I keep forgetting)...
I've got so much to do between now and then! I am so excited and can't wait until my babies are 1!!

Way Back When-sday

Way Back When-sday is hosted by Cheryl at Twinfatuation, thanks for letting me play along! My Way Back When-sday is of my big belly again (I can't wait until I get to start posting the babies when they were small..) I was 25 weeks in this picture and if you look you can see at the top of my belly- a little something extra up by my ribs- that was Justin. He was ALWAYS up into my rib cage! Squished up there probably.

Also on Monday my friend Stephanie came over with her 7 month old baby Brodie and I got to take some pictures of him. These are of him and Justin-doesn't Justin look tiny next to Brodie?

This is my favorite one that I took of Brodie. It's like he's saying "This is what happens when the Cheifs lose."

Not much...

Well there's not much to say, but I couldn't stand seeing a post from Wednesday still be up at the top. I've decided to start making things lately- sewing things and yesterday we started making Tutus. They are SOOO adorable. I'm even thinking of selling them somewhere- we'll see.

Ayva has recently discovered that she no longer likes her Dr. Brown's bottle and wants a MAM one. She was totally refusing to eat from the DR. B ones. I was desperate and had my mom get some new bottles to try. She also doesn't like her soy milk anymore (she was only drinking it b/c of the reflux- which has gotten better). She still only has 2 teeth- both on the bottom in the middle. She is smiling a lot more and I think this new medicine she is on is making her seizures better- but not completly gone. Hopefully at her next EEG they will say they are gone- WISH US LUCK ON THAT!! (we'll need it).

Anna is being a lot more vocal. She is beginning to be VERY loud and is starting to do something that Justin has been doing for a while- crying when she is put down. So now that's all three babies that want mommy to hold them all the time! If only I had three sets of arms! She still only has one tooth. Her vision is improving every day!! She has begun to look at you and make eye contact again!(I think it was the seizures). She is rolling all over the place and is starting to get up on her hands and knees!!! Oh, I think I'm in for TWO crawlers soon!! She has decided that she no longer likes vegetables and wants to let me know by gagging on them everytime!!! Only fruit will she not gag on (well I guess that's not true, she likes yogurt, oatmeal, and chicken). I've tried every veggie known to man, and she won't eat them!! Silly girl!

Justin is EVERYWHERE!! If he's not crawling into the kitchen, he's walking along the couches. Or he is doing his other favorite pasttime- pulling the girls' hair! He catches a glimpse of their hair (which has really started to grow) and makes a b- line over to give it a good YANK! He knows what he is doing and is doing it on purpose! He's naughty! He has also noticed our 52' tv and has taken it upon himself to try and touch it every chance he gets! His favorite things to chew on are shoes and the couch and has 2 teeth also. Yesterday he ate a big bite of watermelon- and didn't gag (very solid things was making him gag) and today my mom thought he would just take a lick of her chocolate candy bar and he bit off a chunk and didn't have any problem chewing it up and swallowing it................he is definatly my child. :)

All three of them have runny, snotty noses....I wonder how they all got a runny nose....hmmm... **coughjustincough***. Justin likes to steal his sister's paci's and chew on them. I believe there is a video on a much earlier post of him stealing Ayva's paci.

I will post more later- My friend Stephanie is supposed to come over tomorrow and the babies officially turn 11 MONTHS on Wednesday!!!!! Only one month until they are ONE!!

Way Back When-sday!

This way back when-sday features pictures of my (and the babies) first time going to a Chiefs game.
It was VERY loud, they babies liked the fireworks that they shot off, and I had a pretty good time- except everyone around us was standing the whole time and I had too big of a belly to stand the whole time, so I didn't see much of the game! And about the last 10 minutes of the game it started pouring down rain, and we had to walk back to the car, in the rain, past the regular parking lot, to the GRASS where we had to park! (it was a LONG way!)

And this is my ever growing belly. Who would have known that in one short month I would be admitted to the hospital and have to stay for 2 weeks, spend my 23rd birthday there and then deliver three tiny babies. Taking this picture, I would have never even dreamt that those events would take place like it did. I was blissfully naive.

TOOFERS!!!

Toofers, toofers, everywhere! Ayva has 2 little sparkly toofers...(sorry, I made the pics big to try and see the teeth better)

Anna only has one so far (but is working on the second)...

And Justin has 2 as well...

I finished the babies birthday invite, but I want to send it out first so people won't see it before they get it. It's really cute and I made it and took the pictures all by myself.
I am also thinking I should post some random cuteness, so here you go....

Justin and his big basket of toys....He's saying,"They're all MINE!"

I spiked what little hair he has with gel (glittery gel at that!)

More to post...

Today my mom and I took the kiddos to a pumpkin patch! We had a lot of fun...(Oh, by the way, I also posted earlier today, so don't forget to read it also!) Althought everyone is pretty fussy these days- Cutting teeth really takes a lot out of 'em! The updated tooth count is Anna-1/Ayva-2/Justin-2. BUT Anna's second is very close to popping through and Ayva has had 2 teeth all along. They both popped up together. Poor thing...Anyways.....what was I talking about? Oh yeah, the pumpkin patch. We had fun, but they were definatly too young to really enjoy it. There was a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, a little kid train to ride, music and a petting zoo.(you'll be able to tell how fussy they were without me having to say anything.......)

Ayva, Anna and Justin.
My sweet babies and me.
Anna and the pumpkins.

Ayva and the pumpkins.

Justin and the pumpkins.

Justin with a pumpkin head...LOL (he was beyond fussy at this point)

Anna with a pumpkin head.

Ayva with a pumpkin head.

The babies and me again. (L-R:Ayva, Justin, Anna)

I also kept count of how many comments we got while we were there...well I lost count (if that says anything) but before we even made it onto the premisis (from the parking lot) we got 6 different comments from 6 different people. And I know that we at least got 10 more while we were just taking pictures alone. GEEZE! Can we say Circus Freak Show?

Even though they were fussy, I'm still glad we went. I really think it would be neat if we made going a tradition and go every year.

The CUTEST thing EVER!

Justin got out of his chair after he finished his bottle and decided to help Anna finish hers. He held it up for her! He did it with no one telling him to. He is such a sweet boy.

Also on Friday, my cousin's baby, Eli, came over and hung out with the gang. I thought it wouldn't be all that different having one more baby at the house, but it did seem kind of weird. FOUR babies! GEEZE! Anyway, he was a very good boy and he and Justin played together- here are some pics of them hugging..... (so cute)

Also, Justin learned how to crawl under his little music table........

Now, all the news I have left is random cuteness.....
