A tribute to Sydney and Carynne

We are deeply sorry for Brook and Jake and their whole family on their loss. We will keep them in our prayers and we hope that they can find some peace in all this.

I have the girls dressed in pink and since Justin doesn't own anything pink, he is wearing his red Valentine's shirt.

here is the best pic I could get

and now some of the funnier ones...

Justin thinks it's time to relax

but Anna shows him what she thinks of that idea!

Sisters

but don't let that cuteness fool you...Anna likes to grab hair

Please wear pink tomorrow

To honor Brook and her sweet baby girls who suffered from Spinal Muscular Atrophy, type 1, we will be wearing pink tomorrow. Their funerals are tomorrow, which is also the day they would be six months old.
Let's pay tribute to these sweet, beautiful girls by wearing pink tomorrow. A pink scarf, pink socks, a pink shirt. Whatever you have, wear it!
And while we're at it, let's help try to find a cure for SMA by signing the Petition to Cure SMA. SMA is the number one genetic killer of children under the age of 2.

Auntie Ashtie and Ayva pics

The first ones are of Auntie Ashtie at her tumbling practice. (sorry if some of them are blurry, she was moving so quick, it was hard to take an un-blurry one)

And these are of Ayva with her piggies. I had her all dressed up on Monday b/c she had a weight and blood pressure check at the dr's (for the new medicine she's on.)

The world is full of so much saddness....

I just heard that little innocent Sydney joined her sister in heaven yesterday. It is unfair that their sweet, caring, loving mother will never get to see them take their first step, or go to school, or get married.

The world will miss having two sweet girls in it. It is a much sadder place because of that. Please feel free to donate to their fund, the button is on the left. I know it would be a great help to them in this tragic time.

My heart breaks having to hear what their mom told us yesterday...

"Sydney joined her sister at 6:45 this evening. When Carynne passed yesterday, her heart just gave up and we tried to recucitate her. We called the ambulance and she was taken to the hospital. I rode in the police car while Jake stayed with Sydney. When I walked into the ER the doctors were waiting to tell me that she had passed.Today, Sydney was struggling the entire day and we could only turn her oxygen up to a certain level without blowing up her lungs. When we got to that point, I just held her in my arms and Jake held her hands. We had two nurses here with us and they watched the monitors as she slowly decreased. We just held her and let her take her last breaths in our arms. She stayed with us for about an hour before they came to pick her up. Funeral arrangements are pending at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, adivision of Flanner and Buchanan. This might sound bad, but I am thankful that they went so close together so they didn't miss eachother too much. We are going have both services at the same time sometime later this week."

Worst News....

A friend of mine, on the Multiples Board on the Bump, has lost their sweet, innocent baby girl, Carynne, this morning. Please keep this family in your prayers and hope that they will be able to make it through this horrible time. I know that things will only get worse for them, and I will be praying for them to have strength each and every day.

I've decided to post some pictures that I like and haven't gotten to post in the other posts.

This picture would be a LOT funnier if it weren't and every day occasion! (Anna)

Poor Ayva's leg. Anna bit her and left teeth marks!!! OUCHie!

HUGS!!

Fun with bubbles!!

They are wearing the Valentine's Day Jammies their Daddy bought them.

Justin and his FAV toy- the monkey.

P.S. Ayva is doing good. She is tolerating the shots pretty well. She is much more alert and "awake" and she is laughing and playing- which it's been a long while since she's actually played! Her seizures are signifacantly less and we are praying that they continue to decrease over the next few days until she isn't having anymore! Thanks to everyone who kept her and us in your thoughts and who helped us out this week!

15 months

My babies aren't babies anymore, they are 15 months (yesterday). I cannot believe they are almost 1 1/2!
Here are some pics of them on their 15 month birthday!

And here are just some random pics from over the weekend.

This is how I found JJ after his nap. Shirtless.
